Palma de Mallorca has an amazing range of restaurants, bars and cafés - enough to satisfy any palate. A variety you will come across in all ten of the gastronomic areas of Palma we indicate below.
There are a great many establishments with different types of cuisine here. Mediterranean and Italian restaurants abound, as do eateries specialising in rice dishes and pizzerias. There is also high class Chinese and Indian cooking. In carrer Monseñor Palmer one can sample Mexican and Japanese food. The Passeig Marítim also boasts the largest number of bars and discos that stay open late.

Passeig del Born has a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine and cafés where you can enjoy tasty filled rolls and pa amb oli. In side streets like Sant Feliu and Apuntadors, there are a host of restaurants with vegetarian, international, French, Mallorquin, Mediterranean food, small tapas and larger portions. In plaça de La Lotja there are also pizzerias, Basque taverns, and seafood restaurants. In Avinguda de l’Argentina there are Chinese, Italian, Galician and seafood restaurants and rice specialities.

This area is now among those with the most restaurants and cafés. There is a huge range: tapas and pa amb oli, grills, Argentine, Mallorquin, Asturian, Japanese, African, and Mediterranean cuisine. In plaça del Progrés there are Mexican, vegetarian and Vietnamese restaurants.

This area up in the hills has always been well known for restaurants serving Mallorquin cuisine and excellent meat. Over the last few years, other types of establishments have also been set up there such as Columbian and Scandinavian.

This is the longest standing area for fish and seafood, calderetas and rice specialities. In the promenade on the seafront there are a series of establishments with open air terraces serving Mediterranean cuisine, exquisite tapas and pa amb oli. In carrer Capità Ramonell Boix there is also Andalusian cuisine available.

Some of the city’s most popular seafood restaurants are hidden away in this area with the evocative name. Fish and shellfish, whether in stews or grilled, are the main feature of many menus, as well as restaurants serving Mediterranean and Mallorquin cuisine, rice specialities and other sophisticated dishes. You can also enjoy tapas and pa amb oli on the sea front.

In the streets around this municipal market there is an extensive range of establishments serving Mediterranean specialities and market cuisine. It is also possible to choose pizzas, salads, hamburgers, döner kebabs, filled rolls, or a variety of tapas and snacks.

The old quarter of Palma is the largest in Europe, so there are also restaurants and bars in abundance there. The variety is amazing, and includes Mallorquin, Mediterranean, international, Italian, Basque, Galician, regional and market cuisines. Not forgetting tapas and creative bar snacks.

This is another of the gastronomic centres of Palma par excellence, whether the yardstick be quantity or variety. The range available includes steak houses, Mediterranean, Basque, Spanish, Mallorquin, Chinese, Italian, international and market cuisines.

On the road to Establiments there are some marvellous restaurants serving Mediterranean and Mallorquin cuisine.
